Turn your calendars to July. One of my first trips to New York, I climbed all those stairs up to the crown and looked out one of those little windows. Since 911, you can no longer climb up there. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to do so. I have many sketches of the Statue of Liberty from these 15 trips to New York but this is the first painting of her. It took me back to figure drawing classes in college to figure out how to paint her. Of course, I had to have her rockin’ out with one of my graphically designed guitars. I’m celebrating 30 years of Painting Music! 10 Years of my Desk Calendar! A lifetime of being an Artist! God Bless America! Happy 4th of July!!
