Lori Mole – Biography
Lori Mole is a contemporary painter who combines her background of graphic design, art and music to create “The Music Series” and “Acrylic Gems”. Working in watercolor for 20 years led to a large commission which switched her to acrylics.
California born and raised, she grew up in the small farm town of Orland playing the piano and clarinet, marching in Mr. Fairlee’s band. Lori received high school scholarships for graphic design and worked at local print shops. She graduated from CSU, Chico with a BA in Art focusing on Gallery Management and Printmaking. Residing in the Sonoma County Wine Country for over 30 years, she was a huge part of the Art Community.
Operating her own galleries for 20 years awarded her multiple titles including “Top 100 Galleries of American Crafts in the USA” and “Best Art Gallery of Sonoma, Napa and Marin Counties”. Lori excelled with advertising and marketing plans. She became the Marketing Director for T Barny, a stone sculptor in Healdsburg, CA for 10 years. Her skills brought his career to the next level.
However, creating her own work was always her passion. Exhibiting at her gallery led to gallery representation throughout California and at “Wild About Music”, Austin, TX. She was the selected artist for the Sedona Jazz on the Rocks Festival. Lori’s goal to exhibit at ARTexpo, New York came true in 2018 where she was picked up by Amsterdam Whitney Intl. Fine Art Gallery, located in the heart of the Chelsea Art District, NYC. Her artwork is collected by music lovers from coast to coast.
In 2014, she moved to Orcutt in Santa Barbara County to be with family. Creating a magical studio space out of a “Golf Cart/Hog Pen” garage, she now paints a “hidden” heart into every painting.
