One of my studio shirts says, “KEEP CALM and Listen to the Dave Matthews Band”. I just love the way Dave pulls words from his mindscape into a visual narrative. Many songs and lyrics inspire my work. “Go Back to Being Friends”, acrylic gem (6″x 6″), has emotion and energy. I just recently saw the movie “Words & Pictures” about an Art Teacher (Juliette Binoche) and an English Teacher (Clive Owen). They both proved to be very powerful.
