It always feels good to get new paint, gesso, brushes, paper, canvas, even VIVA paper towels! The more time I put into the studio, the more times I will be surprised. I’ve been wanting to loosen things up as my work always tends to take on my graphic design background. I see hints of looser paint strokes in my work here and there but my word for the year is TIME. In February I took a Valentine painting class. We were asked for 9 words that mean something to us; that inspire us. It just so happens that the past 9 years I’ve chosen a word for my painting direction. Now this heart word painting hangs in my studio.
