Statewide Juried Exhibition! I am very honored to have a piece showing with this group of amazing artists. The exhibit is called “On & Off The Wall” and features over 50 paintings and 25 sculptures. The reception is Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2-4pm at the Art Center Morro Bay, 835 Main Street in Morro Bay, CA. Come see “EDDIE” (Tribute Painting to Eddie Van Halen 1955-2020), the original will be on display. See how I incorporated his carpenter pencil and string into his handmade guitar, the Frankenstrat. Eddie Van Halen, one of the world’s greatest guitarist of all time, was incredibly inventive. He made many guitars but this one was special. It was on exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC before he donated it to the Hard Rock Cafe’, valued at over $100,000. Eddie passed October 6, 2020. I felt compelled to paint his guitar. I saw the band Van Halen in Sacramento in 2008 with David Lee Roth as lead vocalist. It was AWESOME! In the lower right corner, that’s me with “heart hands”. Hope to see you in Morro Bay!
